Injectable Iron Pharmaceuticals

Pharmacosmos manufactures and markets CosmoFer®, which is an intravenous Iron Dextran injection compound for human use. Today, CosmoFer® is available to patients in more than 30 countries.

CosmoFer® low molecular weight (Mw) Iron Dextran is a highly refined parenteral iron formulation, with a well documented safety profile. Low Mw Iron Dextran has been used in more than 60 million doses and is characterized by significantly less adverse events compared to high Mw iron dextran.

Veterinary Iron Dextran

Veterinary Iron Dextran is an injectable iron supplement for prevention of piglet iron deficiency anemia.

Pharmacosmos veterinary Iron Dextran solutions are marketed worldwide. Uniferon® is veterinary Iron Dextran for treatment of piglet anemia and is available in selected European countries as well as countries outside Europe.
